Pendulum Crunch - One of the best exercises for Abs

You may have heard that Abs are made in the kitchen. This is absolutely true. You won’t be able to see your Abs if they are covered with layers of fat, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t train them. By training them you will not only increase your core strength, but also make them bigger and more defined. This means that your Abs will poke through those layers of fat.

Training Abs can be very repetitive and dull, with endless sit-ups and crunches. It can also place your lower back in a vulnerable position, and hurt many people. So here is one of the best exercises to do that is safe and isn’t boring. For more of the best core exercises, look here.

The Pendulum Crunch – using our Power Straps

Excellent for training the Abs, Obliques and Core, its a fun exercise that is also very easy to make easier or harder, simply by moving closer or further away from the anchor.

1. Begin by looping your feet in the footstrap, which is hidden underneath the handle, and loop your feet in.

2. Assume the Prone position, the top of a press up, with arms locked and body straight.

3. Bring both your knees to your right elbow, aiming to touch knees to arms and squeeze the contraction.

4. Then reverse back to the starting position, and repeat to touch the other elbow.

To make the exercise harder: place your hands further away from the anchor point. This means your Abs must work against gravity to drive your knees to your elbows.

To make the exercise easier: place your hands closer to the anchor point. This means your Abs will have assistance from gravity to bring your knees to your elbows.
