Why it is best to workout in the morning

When it comes to exercising, a lot of us make excuses. Reasons as to why we can’t train or how we don’t have any time. For many of people it is because they don’t really enjoy it, or struggle to find the motivation to go to the gym. Many of us plan to workout, but a stressful day can run away with us and when it gets to the end of the day the last thing you feel like doing is exercising. So here is why it is best to get your workout completed in the morning and how you can use nature to your advantage.

If you workout in the morning you have no need for excuses that you don’t have time.

Working out first thing in the morning means that even if you have a really long day at work, you can comfortably go home and relax, knowing you’ve smashed your session and earned your rest. You won’t need to say ‘oh I ran out of time to workout’ you will have already done it.

It teaches discipline.

Working out and exercising requires effort. There are no two ways about it. Waking up half an hour early to get a quick session in teaches you discipline and strength of mind. We know its not easy, but you will benefit massively from it.

If you hate exercising, working out in the morning is the best thing you can do.

If you attack the day and get a workout done first thing in the morning, you have already done the hardest part about your day. Everything else will seem easy compared to it. So to make your day feel easier, wake up, get up and train.

You can spend the rest of the day recovering.

You breakdown your body when you workout. Your body grows when you are recovering. So smash your session in the morning, then you can eat good protein and carbs throughout the day to smash that recovery.

An outdoor workout will set you up for the day.

As the sun is rising earlier, you can go out into the park and get a session done in the sun. It will give you a good hit of Vitamin D, a serving of Dopamine and set you up for the day.

You will sleep better.

Fitter, stronger people tend to sleep better. However working out too close to bedtime can disrupt your sleep and recovery, so train earlier on for better sleep and recovery.
